CBSaleTracker F.A.Q.

(Frequently Asked Questions)

  • You mention the term Domain Redirect, what is it?
  • With Article Marketing, EzineArticles.com is considered the "king of the hill" as article directories go. They only allow affiliate links in articles if it is done via a "top level domain redirect". That means the address of your link must be http://www.yourdomain.??? (.com, .info, .org, etc). There are really only 2 ways of doing that. One is with a redirect setup at your domain registrar, GoDaddy for instance.

The other is to actually have a web page installed on a web hosting account, and only takes a line or two of code in a file that may be called index.html, index.php or something similar. The only way you can do any tracking of any sort is to use the 2nd method, where you have a web page on a web host (GoDaddy or HostGator).

With ClickBank Sale Tracker, we show you step by step how you can easily set this up and not know anything about html or php coding of web pages - see training videos.
  • Do I need to know anything about programming to use CBSaleTracker?
  • No. The only thing you need to know is how to upload files that we create, and we show you how to do that. The exception is working with web pages or WordPress blogs, but not only is that optional, you can hire someone to do the work for you, it should take less than an hour.
  • Do I need to own a domain name?
  • Yes. Any domain name extension will work: .com, .info (very inexpensive and ideal for redirects), .org, etc.
  • Do I need to have a hosting account?
  • Yes. You do need a hosting account so you can upload files to your own website. We provide all of the files you need and highly recommend an inexpensive account at HostGator.com that allows UNLIMITED websites for a very low monthly fee (under $10/mo).
  • Does CBSaleTracker only work with top level domain redirects?
  • No. You can still use it with a squeeze page or any ordinary web page that has affiliate links on it.
  • Why doesn't CBSaleTracker work 100% of the time?
  • In our personal use, CBSaleTracker works 99% of the time. Factors beyond our control such as a user's browser settings and cookie control software etc, which are the same factors that can put your commission at risk, also can impede the functioning of our software.
  • Where can I get technical support?
  • We have a support forum.
  • Does ClickBank Sale Tracker work with WordPress blogs?
  • Yes, but it is an advanced topic. Learn how to integrate CBSaleTracker with WordPress blogs here.
  • Does CBSaleTracker work only with ClickBank products?
  • No, you can use with any affiliate network that allows for a tracking field, i.e., Commission Junction, etc.
